Impacto del confinamiento de la Covid-19 en la vida sexual de adultos colombianos

Introducción: la sexualidad es fundamental para la calidad de vida y bienestar de las personas, no obstante, durante la pandemia por Covid-19 se estableció un confinamiento obligatorio que pudo generar cambios en su funcionamiento.

Objetivo: determinar el impacto del confinamiento por Covid-19 sobre la vida sexual de las personas en Colombia, específicamente en el deseo sexual (DS), comportamiento sexual (CS) y prácticas sexuales (PS), así como su frecuencia (FPS) e importancia (IPS).

Métodos: estudio cuantitativo no experimental, con fines descriptivos, correlacionales y explicativos, de corte transversal. El muestreo fue por conveniencia y la muestra fue conformada por 122 adultos (64 % mujeres), principalmente adultos jóvenes, solteros y heterosexuales, quienes contestaron una encuesta virtual y anónima durante el confinamiento obligatorio.

Resultados: se encontró que el DS aumentó, pero el CS disminuyó y fue explicado en el 27,8 % por DS. FPS e IPS disminuyeron, aunque las únicas PS que aumentaron estaban relacionadas con la tecnología. Se identificó que sólo FPS pudo ser explicada por CS (51 %) e IPS (21 %). Algunas dificultades sexuales fueron reportadas (49,1 %), y un 28 % relacionadas a la salud mental.

Conclusiones: la vida sexual de los participantes presentó cambios desfavorables durante el confinamiento, por esta razón, los gobiernos podrían considerar estrategias para mitigar los impactos en el bienestar sexual durante los confinamientos de la población
