Relación entre el consumo de esteroides anabólicos y la salud mental

Resumen

El uso de esteroides anabólicos representa un desafío creciente para la salud pública, con impactos que trascienden lo físico y afectan profundamente la salud mental de los usuarios.

Aunque las consecuencias físicas han sido ampliamente abordadas, los trastornos psicológicos como la ansiedad, la depresión y la agresividad permanecen subestimados en las estrategias preventivas y en el discurso científico.

Este vacío perpetúa la falta de concienciación entre los usuarios y limita la eficacia de las intervenciones. Es crucial que se implementen políticas y programas que integren tanto los riesgos psicológicos como los físicos, priorizando un enfoque integral para enfrentar este problema.

La salud mental debe ocupar un lugar central en la discusión, reforzando la necesidad de un abordaje multidimensional y actualizado.
