Propiedades psicométricas del GAD-7 en sujetos con obesidad mórbida sometidos a cirugía bariátrica

Resumen

Introducción: La detección de manifestaciones de ansiedad en sujetos con obesidad mórbida es una prioridad en la atención de este grupo de riesgo que aumenta cuando se someten a cirugía bariátrica para mejorar su estado de salud. Se requieren instrumentos de fácil aplicación y válidos para esta población en crecimiento. 

Objetivo: Evaluar las propiedades psicométricas de la escala de trastornos de ansiedad generalizada (GAD-7) en sujetos ecuatorianos sometidos a cirugía bariátrica. 

Métodos: Se realizó una investigación instrumental en 58 adultos (nHOMBRES=28; 48,3 %; nMUJERES=30; 52,7 %) con obesidad mórbida que se sometieron a cirugía bariátrica (mediaEDAD =35,9; DE=8,92). 

Resultados: Los resultados mostraron buena consistencia interna, con un coeficiente alfa de Cronbach por encima del umbral recomendado de 0,70 y el CFI = .96.  Se demostró buena confiabilidad y validez para los síntomas del trastorno de ansiedad generalizada en individuos con obesidad mórbida sometidos a cirugía bariátrica.

Conclusiones: El análisis mostró El GAD 7 es una herramienta útil para  identificar los  sujetos con ansiedad generalizada y puede incorporarse al proceso de evaluación preoperatoria.
